भारत ने अपनी नई मिसाइल पृथ्वी-२ का परीक्षण किया रात किया। लगभग रात ८.३० बजे ओडिशा के आईटीआर केंद्र में इसका सफल परीक्षण किया गया है। पृथ्वी-२ मिसाइल परमाणु आयुध ले जाने से लेकर ३५० किलोमीटर की दूरी तक मार करने की क्षमता रखती है।
ओडिशा के बालासोर में हुआ सफल परीक्षण
सूत्रों के मुताबिक इस परीक्षण की जानकारी दी गई है। यह मिसाइल चांदीपुर स्थित एकीकृत परीक्षण केंद्र (आईटीआर) के प्रक्षेपण परिसर-३ से दागा गया। ज्ञात हो कि इससे पहले १८ जनवरी को अग्नि-५, छह फरवरी को अग्नि-१ और २० फरवरी को अग्नि-२ का ओडिशा के अब्दुल कलाम द्वीप से सफल परीक्षण किया गया था।
पृथ्वी-२ मिसाइल की ताकत
- १००० किलोग्राम तक का हथियार ले जान में सक्षम
- ३५० किलोमीटर तक मारने की क्षमता
- दोहरे इंजन की लिक्विड प्रोपेल्लेंट तकनीक
विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक पृथ्वी-२ कई खासियतों के चलते आधुनिक है। यह अपने प्रक्षेप से बड़ी कुशलता से आगे बढ़ने का माद्दा रखती है। ३५० किलोमीटर मार करने की क्षमता व १००० किलोग्राम तक वजन ढोना इसकी खासियत है। जिसके चलते यह युद्ध स्थिति में सेना को अधिक मदद पहुंचाएगी।
रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन के वैज्ञानिकों की देख रेख में इसका प्रशिक्षण किया गया है। जिसमें यह सफलता पूर्वक सैन्य अभ्यासों के बाद अब दुश्मनों को मुंहतोड़ जवाब के लिए तैयार है।
