यूपी निकाय चुनाव: अंतिम चरण में ५८.६५ प्रतिशत मतदान, एक दिसंबर को परिणाम

उत्तर प्रदेश में नगर निकाय चुनाव के तीसरे एवं अंतिम दौर के चुनाव में थोड़ा उत्साह नजर आया। बुधवार को २६ जिलों में हुए चुनाव में ५८.६५ प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ। २०१२ निकाय चुनाव की अपेक्षा ७.०८ प्रतिशत की बढ़ोत्तरी है। अंतिम दौर में कानपुर देहात क्षेत्र में सर्वाधिक ७३.४६ प्रतिशत और मुरादाबाद में सबसे कम ४८.४७ प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ।

आखीरी दौर में भी नगर पंचायतों के मतदाताओं ने जमकर मतदान किया और नगर निगमों के मतदाताओं को मिशाल दिखाई। अब सबकी नजरें शुक्रवार को आने वाले नतीजों पर टिकी हैं। बरेली, मुरादाबाद, झांसी, सहारनपुर और फिरोजाबाद नगर निगम के साथ ७६ नगर पालिका परिषदों और १५२ पंचायतों में मतदान हुआ।

सुबह से ही नगर निगम क्षेत्रों के मतदान केंद्रों पर भीड़ कम रही। परन्तु नगर पालिका परिषद और नगर पंचायत चुनाव के मतदान केंद्रों पर मतदाताओं में उत्साह दिखाई दिया। राजनीतिक दलों के प्रत्याशियों व कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी व उनके समर्थकों ने भी मतदाताओं को घर से बूथ तक लाकर मतदान कराने के लिए हरसंभव कोशिशें कीं।

कुछ मतदान केंद्रों के बाहर शांति बनाने और प्रत्याशियों व समर्थकों के बीच टकराव रोकने के लिए पुलिस को भी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी।
