टीम इंडिया के रवि शास्त्री बने कोच, जहीर को मिली गेंदबाजी। रवि शास्त्री के टीम इंडिया के कोच बनने की खबरों के बाद बीसीसीआई ने आखिरकार उनके नाम पर मुहर लगा दी है। समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई के अनुसार बीसीसीआई के कार्य कार्यकारी सचिव अमिताभ चौधरी ने बताया कि रवि शास्त्री को टीम इंडिया का हेड कोच बनाया गया है।
पूर्व कप्तान, द वॉल राहुल द्रविड को विदेशी दौरे के दौरान बल्लेबाजी कोच होंगे। राहुल द्रविड अभी इंडिया अंडर १९ और इंडिया ए टीम के कोच की जिम्मेदारी भी संभाल रहे हैं। भारतीय टीम के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज जहीर खान को टीम इंडिया के गेंदबाजी कोच की कमान सौंपी गई है। बीसीसीआई के कार्य कार्यकारी सचिव अमिताभ चौधरी ने इस बात का ऐलान किया।
इससे पहले मीडिया में रवि शास्त्री के टीम इंडिया के कोच बनने की खबर का बीसीसीआई ने खंडन किया। इससे पहले मीडिया में यह खबर आई थी कि चयन समिति ने पूर्व क्रिकेटर और कमेंटेटर रवि शास्त्री के नाम पर अपनी मुहर लगा दी है। हालांकि मीडिया में यह खबर एएनआई के उस ट्वीट के बाद सामने आई जिसमें रवि शास्त्री के कोच बनने की जानकारी दी गई थी।
एएनआई का ट्वीट आते ही मीडिया में तेजी से यह खबर फैली। खबर फैलने के बाद बीसीसीआई को खुद सामने आकर स्थिति स्पष्ट करनी पड़ी। दूसरी ओर इस पूरे घटनाक्रम के बाद एक बात जरूर साफ हो गई है कि टीम इंडिया और बीसीसीआई में अभी भी सबकुछ सही नहीं चल रहा है।

क्योंकि जिस तरह से मंगलवार को दिनभर कोच पद पर अटकलों का दौर चलता रहा उसने बीसीसीआई की अंदरूनी उठापटक को ही उजागर करने का काम किया जिसका शिकार तीन दिग्गजों सचिन तेंदुल्कर, सौरव गांगुली और वीवीएस लक्ष्मण की सदस्यता वाली कोच चयन समिति भी बनती दिख रही है।
मंगलवार को कोच की रेस में रवि शास्त्री से आगे थे सहवाग
मुख्य बात ये है कि सोमवार को पूरे दिन कोच पद के लिए वीरेन्द्र सहवाग का नाम रेस में सबसे आगे निकलता लग रहा था। खबरों में भी वीरेन्द्र सहवाग कोच पद के लिए चयन समिति की पहली पसंद बताए जा रहे थे। उसकी ख़ास वजह थी मुंबई स्थित बीसीसीआई के मुख्यालय में हुई सीएसी की बैठक में सोमवार को रवि शास्त्री के नाम की घोषणा न होना।
जिसके बाद अनुमान लगाया जाने लगा था कि रवि शास्त्री के नाम पर सचिन तेंदुल्कर, सौरव गांगुली और वीवीएस लक्ष्मण की कोच चयन समिति एकमत नहीं हो सकी है। कहा जा रहा था कि शास्त्री के मुकाबले पूर्व किक्रेटर वीरेन्द्र सहवाग इस रेस में आगे निकल गए हैं। कोच के दावेदारों में सहवाग ही अकेले थे जो इंटरव्यू देने के लिए चयन समिति के सामने उपस्थित हुए थे, बाकी उम्मीदवारों ने स्काइप से अपनी प्रजंटेशन दी थी।
सहवाग की प्रस्तुति से भी चयन समिति काफी प्रभावित नजर आई थी, इसके अलावा समिति के तीनों सदस्यों से भी सहवाग के संबंध अच्छे रहे हैं। ऐसे में उनका दावा ही पुख्ता नजर आ रहा था। वहीं सीएसी सदस्य सौरव गांगुली से रवि शास्त्री की टेंशन भी किसी से छुपी नहीं है। जबकि सबकी निगाहें सीएसी के निर्णय पर ही टिकी हैं कि क्या निर्णय लिया जाता है।
