हमारे पुराणों में मुनष्य की भलाई के लिए कई संदेश दिए गए हैं। मनुष्य के धर्म और धन से लेकर इनमें आयु के बारे में भी जानकारी दी गई है। इनमें बताया गया है कि आप एक धनी परिवार में जन्म लेने के बावजूद भी कुछेक गलतियों के कारण गरीब हो सकते हैं। इसमें उन गलतियों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया गया है, जो आपके सौभाग्य को दुर्भाग्य में बदल सकती हैं।
इन पुराणों में कई ऐसी सीख भी दी गई है, जिनका पालन करने से आप ऐसी परेशानियां से बच सकते हैं और आपके घर में सुख-संपत्ति और सौभाग्य का वास बना रह सकता है। गरुड़ पुराण के अनुसार सात ऐसे कार्यो के बारे में जानते हैं जिन्हें इंसान को भूलकर भी नहीं करना चाहिए।
रात को दही न खाएं
गरुड़ पुराण के अनुसार दही सात्विक भोजन होते हुए भी रात के समय खाना नुकसानदेय है। दिन के समय आप भले ही खूब दही खाएं लेकिन रात में इससे बचें, क्योंकि रात में इसके सेवन से आपका स्वास्थ्य प्रभावित होता है और उम्र घटती है।
धन का घंमड
कुछ एक लोगों को पैसे और नौकरी का घमंड हो जाता है, और वह अपने सामने वाले व्यक्ति को नीचा समझने लगते हैं। ऐसे लोग मौका मिलते ही लोगों को नीचा दिखाना शुरू कर देते हैं। ऐसा करने से दूसरे लोगों को पीड़ा पहुंचती है। किसी भी प्रकार दूसरों को दुख पहुंचाना पाप माना जाता है, इसीलिए भूलकर भी कभी घमंड नहीं करना चाहिए। घमंड करने वाले व्यक्ति के पास लक्ष्मी जी का वास नहीं होता है।
दूसरों के सुख से जलन
कुछ लोगों की दूसरों की खुशी को देखकर जलने की आदत होती है । ऐसा करने से तनाव बढ़ता है। कभी भी दूसरों की खुशी को देखकर जलन की भावना न रखें। जो हमारे पास है हमें उसी में खुश रहना चाहिए। यदि हम दूसरों के खुशी को देखकर ईर्ष्या करेंगे तो कभी भी सुखी नहीं रह पाएंगे। जीवन में आगे बढ़ने के लिए हमें अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार लक्ष्य निर्धारित करना चाहिए न की दूसरों को देखकर ।
धन की लालसा
कुछ लोग दूसरों के धन को हड़पने की कोशिश करते हैं वहीं धन प्राप्त करने के लिए कुछ लोग सही-गलत का चुनाव नहीं कर पाते हैं। आपको ग्यात हो कि दूसरों के पैसे को हड़पना शास्त्रों में पाप बताया गया है। हमें अपनी मेहनत से कमाना चाहिए। दूसरों की संपत्ति को देखकर लालच नहीं करनी चाहिए। जो लोग लालच करते हैं वह कभी भी खुश नहीं रहते हैं।
दूसरों की निंदा
हमें दूसरों की बुराई नहीं करनी चाहिए। और अपने काम पर ध्यान देना चाहिए। शास्त्रों में बुराई करना पाप माना गया है। ऐसा करने वाले लोग खुद के काम पर ध्यान नहीं दे पाते हैं। और बाकी लोगों से हमेशा पीछे रह जाते हैं। अगर आपको सफल इंसान बनना है तो दूसरों की बुराई और अपमान करने से बचना चाहिए।
साफ-सुथरे कपड़े पहने
यदि आप अमीर बनना चाहते हैं तो यह जरूरी है कि आप साफ-सुथरे कपड़े पहने। ऐसे कपड़े पहनने से घर में लक्ष्मी का वास होता है। जो गंदे वस्त्र पहनते हैं उनके घर में लक्ष्मी का वास नहीं होता है। वह अपने लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में पीछे रह जाता है।
न रहें अपनों से दूर
गरुड़ पुराण से सुखी दांपत्य जीवन के बारे में भी हमें बड़ी सीख मिलती है। गरुड़ पुराण के अनुसार कभी भी पति-पत्नी को एक दूसरे से ज्यादा दिन दूर नहीं रहना चाहिए। अधिक दिनों तक दूर रहने के कारण पति हो या पत्नी वह मानसिक रूप से कमजोर होने का अनुभव करने लगता है। जिसके कारण अनेक तरह की सामाजिक समस्याएं पैदा होने का भी खतरा बना रहता है।
