गोरखपुर सदर संसदीय सीट के उपचुनाव में बड़ा अलग रिजल्ट सामने आया है। सपा ने २९ साल बाद भाजपा को हराया है और २१,८८१ वोटों से चुनाव जीतकर मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ को एक बड़ा झटका दिया है। इस तरह २८ वर्ष बाद गोरक्षपीठ का लक्ष्य टूटा। यह सीट योगी आदित्यनाथ के सांसद पद छोड़ने के बाद खाली हुई थी। यहाँ से उनकी प्रतिष्ठा भी दांव पर लगी थी। १९८९ से ही यह सीट गोरक्षपीठ और भाजपा के पास थी।
२१,८८१ मतों से सपा ने हासिल की जीत
बस इतना ही नहीं मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने जिस बूथ पर वोट डाला, उस सीट से भी भाजपा हार गई है। गोरखपुर सदर लोकसभा क्षेत्र की मतगणना बुधवार को सुबह ८ बजे से शुरू हुई। पहले चरण की मतगणना में भाजपा प्रत्याशी उपेंद्र दत्त शुक्ला आगे रहे। दूसरे चरण की मतगणना ने सपा प्रत्याशी प्रवीण कुमार निषाद ने बढ़त बनाई और फिर पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। बसपा, पीस पार्टी, निषाद पार्टी, रालोद और वामपंथी दलों के समर्थन से चुनाव मैदान में उतरी सपा की साइकिल तेज गति से दौड़ी और शहर के साथ ही ग्रामीण विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में खूब वोट बटोरे।
कांग्रेस की करारी हार
सपा को मुस्लिम, यादव, दलित और निषादों के अच्छे वोट मिले हैं। वहीं उपचुनाव में कांग्रेस को करारी शिकस्त मिली है। कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी डॉ. सुरहीता करीम की जमानत भी जब्त हो गई है। उन्हें केवल १८ हजार ८४४ वोट मिले हैं। सात और निर्दलीय प्रत्याशियों की जमानत जब्त हो गई है। हालांकि उपचुनाव की मतगणना धीमी चली।
मतगणना पांच राउंड की पूरी हो गई, फिर एक राउंड का नतीजा घोषित किया गया। इस पर कई बार विवाद भी हुआ और मामला चुनाव आयोग तक जा पहुंचा। सपा प्रत्याशी प्रवीण कुमार निषाद ने जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी राजीव रौतेला पर चुनाव में धांधली करने का आरोप लगाया। इसे लेकर धरना-प्रदर्शन भी किया गया। शिकायत पर चुनाव आयोग ने जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी से जवाब-तलब किया है।

कुल पड़े मत = ९,३३,७९२
समाजवादी पार्टी ने भाजपा के तिलिस्म पर करारा वार करते हुए फूलपुर लोकसभा उपचुनाव जीत लिया है। सपा प्रत्याशी नागेंद्र सिंह पटेल ने भाजपा उम्मीदवार कौशलेंद्र सिंह पटेल को ५९,६१३ मतों के अंतर से पराजित किया। उपचुनाव में तगड़ा झटका कांग्रेस को लगा है। पार्टी प्रत्याशी मनीष मिश्र की जमानत जब्त हो गई और उन्हें महज ढाई फीसदी वोट मिले।
पूर्व सांसद और निर्दल प्रत्याशी अतीक अहमद तीसरे नंबर पर रहे, जिन्हें साढ़े छह फीसदी वोट मिले। माना जा रहा था कि अतीक अहमद सपा के वोट काटेंगे। हुआ भी यही लेकिन सपा-बसपा गठनबंधन के आगे अतीक फैक्टर कमजोर पड़ गया।
यह उपचुनाव डिप्टी सीएम केशव प्रसाद मौर्य के सीट छोड़ने पर हुआ था
बुधवार को मतगणना शुरू होने के साथ ही सपा उम्मीदवार नागेंद्र सिंह पटेल ने बढ़त बना ली थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा और हर चरण की मतगणना में उनका मत प्रतिशत बढ़ता गया। उन्हें कुल ३,४२,७९६ वोट मिले जबकि भाजपा प्रत्याशी कौशलेंद्र सिंह पटेल को २,८३,१८३ वोट मिले।
वहीं, चौथे नंबर पर रहे कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी मनीष मिश्र को १९,३३४ और तीसरे नंबर पर रहे निर्दल प्रत्याशी अतीक अहमद को ४८,०८७ वोट मिले।
सपा प्रत्याशी बसपा के समर्थन से को मिली ५९,६१३ मतों से जीत
रिजल्ट की अंतिम घोषणा होने से पहले ही सपाइयों ने जश्न मनाना शुरू कर दिया था। दोपहर १२ बजे तक आधे मतों की गिनती ही पूरी हो सकी थी लेकिन सपा प्रत्याशी को जिस तरह प्रत्येक राउंड में बढ़त मिल रही थी, उस आधार पर सपाइयों ने काफी पहले ही जीत सुनिश्चित मान ली थी। मुंडेरा मंडी स्थित मतगणना स्थल के बाहर जीत का जश्न मनाते सपाइयों ने जमकर होली खेली।
